What it actually takes up
The dimensions are the manufacturer figures. The clearance next to them is not: that is our own estimate from running these machines — room for workpieces beside it, for hose and cable behind it, and for the lid or your hands above it. That is the number no data sheet carries.

Here we are no longer talking about a footprint but about a workstation. The welding unit is still manageable; the matching CNC cutting table measures roughly 117 × 116 × 123 cm at 150 kg. Add extraction, a gas cylinder, a screen and a supply that can actually deliver the power. This belongs in a workshop, not in a retail space.

From our own workshop
The MetalFab is not one of ours, but we have had our hands on it: for the first time at Tuning World Bodensee. What surprised us there was not the welding but how undramatic the CNC cutting turned out to be — if you already know xTool Studio from a diode laser, you find your way around immediately and do not have to learn a second piece of software. That is the point where the step up into metalworking becomes smaller than it looks from the outside. We cannot demonstrate it here; this impression comes from a trade fair, not from daily operation.
