What it actually takes up
The dimensions are the manufacturer figures. The clearance next to them is not: that is our own estimate from running these machines — room for workpieces beside it, for hose and cable behind it, and for the lid or your hands above it. That is the number no data sheet carries.

The dimensions here are extrapolated from the platen size, not taken from a data sheet. Do not rely on them before buying furniture. What is certain: it gets hot, it needs clearance from anything flammable, and a shirt has to lie flat in front of it, otherwise you are laying out on the floor.
